Thanks - I think I've found what I need from that link. Cheers, Brian Brian, Did you ever get this to work. I want to do something similar for film stuff on some channels. e.g. Screen Two:Shawshank Redemption and remove the Screen two: bit. Also some other similar things. My doing skills are v rust...

Just did a grab of some channels from RT and seems fine.
BBC1 and BBC2 NI out to the 19th looks good. Nothing wrong so far.....

Found a quick and easy way (for me anyway)... in using my SageTV xmltv plugin to achieve this.

Changing Channel display-name attribute

Hi Alan, Great tool that makes XMLTV a breeze to use. just having a browse around to see how possible it is to change the display-name attribute in the XML file, e.g. shorten National Geographic to Nat Geo but haven't found anything on the web about this. Was thinking that maybe a variation on altch...
