EPG viewer

Post by Measleep » Sun Feb 24, 2008 11:30 pm

Hi, I've been using XMLTV grabber for a few years and copy the data.xml file over to my pocket pc running Ian Bishops viewer program. For the last month Ian's pocket pc viewer appears to be having difficulties with importing the data. His pc desktop viewer displays the data as normal (since the 3.09.03 update anyway) but on the pocket pc running Windows Mobile 5 the viewer reports importing file and creating database, the longest I've left it running in this state was two days - it usually imports the 11 or 12 mb file in about 5 minutes or so. Also tried re-installing the viewer a few times with the same result.

Does anyone have ideas on how to save the Radio Times data or know of another pocket pc XMLTV viewer program please?

No not yet as he's stopped work on it. Ok just re-read his page and I'll contact him. Thanks for the speedy reply that was really quick!

Yes, I'm not doing any more development on the pocket pc version. For other pocket pc listings viewers have a look at the forums over at aximsite for some recommendations.

Just a quick update:

The next update of Alan's grabber will add back the missing data item which prevented the import working. Hopefully the viewer's import should work again.

Indeed it does! Managed to download two weeks of data yesterday from the Radio Times website.

Thanks for the heads up.
