Can't access Schedules Direct

Post by xxramxx » Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:37 pm

Just got new computer with Windows 7. After reinstalling XMLTV GUI and putting in my user name and password in the NA_SD grabber settings, I keep getting the following ...

======================
6:32:24 PM - Starting pass 1 of grabber NA_SD
6:32:24 PM - Error downloading "http://webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsd ... tvdService" : Unsupported hash algorithm. This implementation supports only MD5 encoding.
6:32:24 PM - Schedules Direct Authentication error, check your password in the grabber settings
======================

I did download the latest version ... 3.13
After encountering another problem, I found the "download htmlentities.lua" solution

But now I'm stuck. I've gone to the schedules direct web site & used the same username/password to log in with out any problems?

Any suggestions?

Ram

its actually a change to the schedules direct service which has exposed a bug in the http library that i am using. Try https://www.birtles.org.uk/svn/xmltv/co ... ltvGUI.exe

Installed the new executable into my XMLTVGUI directory. Things did change, but didn't succeed. Here's the new log msgs:

have you entered a username and password in the settings (I get the same message here by entering an incorrect password)? Are they correct? also try deleting the cache directory.

Schedules Direct - It's working ... kind of

Post by xxramxx » Sun Aug 22, 2010 12:58 pm

Clearing the cache changed things. I was able to refresh the channels & attempt a listing grab. Here's the log ...

===========================================================
7:19:12 AM - Starting pass 1 of grabber NA_SD
7:19:41 AM - Read timed out retrying 3 more times in 3000 ms
7:19:45 AM - HTTP Protocol error(401) downloading "http://webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsd ... tvdService" : <html><head><title>Apache Tomcat/5.5.20 - Error report</title><style><!--H1 {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;color:white;background-color:#525D76;font-size:22px;} H2 {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;color:white;background-color:#525D76;font-size:16px;} H3 {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;color:white;background-color:#525D76;font-size:14px;} BODY {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;color:black;background-color:white;} B {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;color:white;background-color:#525D76;} P {font-family:Tahoma,Arial,sans-serif;background:white;color:black;font-size:12px;}A {color : black;}A.name {color : black;}HR {color : #525D76;}--></style> </head><body><h1>HTTP Status 401 - </h1><HR size="1" noshade="noshade"><p><b>type</b> Status report</p><p><b>message</b> <u></u></p><p><b>description</b> <u>This request requires HTTP authentication ().</u></p><HR size="1" noshade="noshade"><h3>Apache Tomcat/5.5.20</h3></body></html>
7:19:45 AM - Schedules Direct Authentication error, check your password in the grabber settings
7:19:45 AM - Grab failed
7:19:45 AM - Finished pass 1 of grabber NA_SD
7:19:45 AM - Starting pass 2 of grabber NA_SD
7:19:45 AM - Finished pass 2 of grabber NA_SD
7:19:45 AM - 4806 programs found
7:19:45 AM - Combining Grabber Programs
7:19:45 AM - Finished Combining Grabber Programs
7:19:45 AM - Writing XML
7:19:46 AM - XML Written
===================================================================

At first, I didn't think it worked. Then noticed the " 4806 programs found". At the bottom of the XMLTV GUI dialog panel, also noticed that 984,289 Downloaded.

Went and looked at the XML file & sure enough, not only was it there, but it was for the movies in the upcoming weeks.

So my problem is fixed and I appreciate your help.

PS: despite the message that " Schedules Direct Authentication error" above, my user id and password are correct ... triple verified at their website.
