Windows Scheduling

Post by grahamleggat »

Hi Alan

I really like your app, it has taken me a few days to try to get to grips with XMLTV.exe mainly because there seems to be no help or tutorials.

Your app makes it simple to extract UK listing.... thanks :D !

The problem I have is that I would like your grabber to be scheduled to run on a regular basis.

I have added your grabber to the windows scheduler but it seems to just continue to hang and clear the "userchannels.txt" file.

Is there a command line switch I need to use etc etc, or is this just something you haven't got round to yet?

Cheers

:D

you need to add /Grab to the command line, eg run
xmltvrt.exe /Grab
i dont know why it clears userchannels.txt though it should just run normally if you miss out the /grab, are there any error messages in the log?

Hi Alan

The /Grab works perfectly, thanks.

Concerning the log file, where would I find this?

BTW, I cannot log in to the board. When I try to log in I get "page not found", therefore the reason why my posts are as a "guest".

Cheers

logging in should now be fixed, be default the log is saved to log.txt but by default the log is not saved goto configuration, settings, logging and check save log
